Please mark your calendars for the Zia Fest Meeting this week, October 3^rd, 7:00 PM in the Auditorium at Pomona. This is a mandatory meeting for all students and parents in the band.

thanks for your encouraging words Mark. I will let you know how this weekend goes.  Colorado Marathon is the weekend before the Colfax if I remember correctly, so we will likely be on a similar training schedule.  A training buddy would be great! Congrats and thank you!

Congratulations to the band and staff for their wonderful performance at jeffco fest last night! The band finished in second place by a fraction of a point, looked and sounded great!

And a very special thank you to ALL the parents that helped clothe, feed, sponsor, drive trucks, push and put together props and all of the bazillion numerous other things you did! We can NEVER have enough help! It takes an army to make this happen...

Concession Volunteers,

We did not get that nine person beer stand but, we did get a Four person Nacho Portable! So we have four more spots each week for the rest of the season starting this week at the 9.30.12 game. This Stand is outside and a little colder in the winter then 525. I am not sure yet if everybody needs to be TIPs trained or not but I should know today.

Please email me with dates you want to work. We need at least one Inventory/Cash Manager per game. There is about half the items that we have at 525.

The Dates and Call Times for the games are:

9.30.12 Broncos / Oakland 10am

10.28.12 Broncos / New Orleans 2pm

11.18.12 Broncos / San Diego 10am

12.2.12 Broncos / Tampa Bay 10am

12.23.12 Broncos / Cleveland 10am

12.30.12 Broncos / Kansas City 10am

Each game pays about $70.00!

Broncos Blood Drive

This is for an event at Sports Authority Park

Hello everyone,

We are looking for an additional 20 volunteers to help out with the annual Broncos Blood Drive that will take place here on Tuesday October 2nd. Payment would be $75 per person because it is a longer than normal day. They would need to be here around 7am (Still waiting for confirmation) and they are expected to be done around 4 or 5. Please let me know if you have any volunteers that would be interested in volunteering. Your group does not need to bring all 20 people :)

Concession Volunteers,

Please email me with dates you want to work. We need at least one Inventory/Cash Manager per game. There is about half the items that we have at 525.

The Dates and Call Times for the games are:

9.30.12 Broncos / Oakland 10am

10.28.12 Broncos / New Orleans 2pm

11.18.12 Broncos / San Diego 10am

12.2.12 Broncos / Tampa Bay 10am

12.23.12 Broncos / Cleveland 10am

12.30.12 Broncos / Kansas City 10am

Each game pays about $70.00!

Great job mark!  I hope that foot recovers quickly.  I head off to Vegas on Friday to run a 1/2 Marathon in Red Rock Canyon on Saturday.  I will let you all know how that goes.  It is a night time run which will be a first for me.  I'm a bit nervous!

Broncos Games Another Stand!

We have the opportunity for another 9 person stand! It is a beer only. You have to be Tips trained and at least 18 to work the stand. We will continue with Stand 525. I have a back up list with 4 to 6 per game over and above the 10 needed for 525! Let me know if you can work. I know some who want to work but I would like to know everybody that wants to work. I'd like to be staffed for the next three games before I commit to it.

As in past years, the boosters provide a simple dinner for the kids at Jeffco Fest. Here are the details, including the donation items requested:

-Each student pays $3 for a meal--I am collecting the money and they can give it to me tonight at the football game or tomorrow at practice

-Donation items (5 donations of each item please):

*Veggie trays-Terri Chawla

*Fruit trays-Karen Langan, Sherri Turnipseed

*Desserts-Karen Langan, Kitty Cordova, Andrea Brad Pemble

Please note-Food donations that are in spill-proof containers or bags can either be dropped off to Lorrie Ham in the bandroom on Monday, September 24 BY 3 pm. or brought to the north parking lot where the band is located at Jeffco Stadium between 5 and 5:30.

Also, if you are interested in helping out with dinner at Jeffco, please let me know. Set-up time is 6:15 and dinner time is about 6:30 or 6:45 pm.

Last, I will keep updating this e-mail throughout the weekend so we can see which items we are lacking before Monday.

UPDATE #1

I typed the donations I have received so far in the appropriate place below. As you can see, we need 4 more veggies, 3 more fruits, and 2 more desserts.

I have PLENTY of people to help set-up/serve/clean-up. Thank you all so much!

Also, just FYI that we are feeding 125 people.

[RRS Run Group] Saturday run

I am going to start a 7:00 saturday about 4 miles. The rest of the day
doing some quality time with a paint roller and brush.everybody is

Well I want to run, but I'm coming at 8. 7 is too early for me!

It's also Karen's last run with us (boo) - so maybe we can do a quick run at 8 and then have one last Starbuck's before she goes off into the sunset?
