This has taken some time to put together with all of the changes in the roster. So if there are some errors that you see, please let me know.
The Student Bingo Schedule from Sept 2012 through Sept 2013 is attached. This year’s Seniors are not scheduled after April 2013.
The Pomona Band Boosters provide volunteer workers every Sunday evening for two sessions of bingo at The Bingo Company, a non-smoking bingo hall in Arvada. The work is easy and fun! We sell bingo cards and pickles, call the games, pay the winners and do light clean-up.
Bingo is a key component of our fundraising as the proceeds from it go to the general operating fund to pay for Marching Band, Color Guard and Winter Percussion program expenses.
Bingo Overview:
- The Bingo Company is located at 6520 Wadsworth Bypass, Unit 100, Arvada, CO 80003. It is located approximately at 65th & Wadsworth Bypass on the east side of the street by the DMV.
- It is the student’s responsibility to arrive to work their week by 5:30/5:45 at The Bingo Company. If they are not able to, they are responsible to find a sub and contact that week’s manager with who is subbing for them. Managers by week are listed below.
- Students sell pull-tab cards (pickles) and extra bingo cards. Please remember this is a job. The Bingo Company is counting on you to serve the customers.
- Student Volunteers typically leave between 9:45 and 10:00 pm, after the second session has begun. If the students do not have school the next day, it is appreciated if they can stay later.
- Please dress appropriately, you are representing Pomona and the band. Pants or nice shorts, shirts with sleeves, preferably Pomona gear. Shoes are mandatory, you will not be allowed to walk or stand bare foot.
- The Bingo Manager will send a reminder out for that week with what adults and students are working. Also, John Kempsell has volunteered to also remind the students for their week via Facebook.
- There are several different spots to check this schedule. On the www.pomonaband.org website under Fundraising, under Bingo, there is a Student Bingo Schedule document. I will also post this on the Calendar – Bingo Calendar, same website. I will try to have this added to Bingo calendar by next booster meeting. There will also be Student Bingo Schedules posted on the boards in the band room. There are many ways for the students to check to see if it is their week to work. It is their program, so they should know when they are expected to work bingo.
